Long time, no posts

Hey fans,

Sorry it has been a while since I last posted. Okay, let me not lie... It's been more than a while.

Recently, I have been trying to figure out the best way to contact you guys via Facebook. Guess what? It's not working very well. In fact, most of you are not even seeing my posts. I am trying my hardest to find a better way to reach you. Do you think that this blog would be the best way? Would you be willing to check it weekly to see what is happening?

Next, I want to remind you that November 30, 2012 is my last day of shooting before my maternity leave. If you have a session scheduled at the end of the month, no need to worry we will get your photos edited and ordered before I have our little girl!

Until then, I have also been trying to figure out what is the best way for your holiday photos. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do you want cards, a disk, prints or all three?

Lastly, if you have ideas leave a comment and ill consider them. If I choose your idea then you will get a free session and 25% off prints, disks and holiday cards.

Alsobrooke Wedding

It has been a while since I last updated this blog. However, I am going to start off with blogging about a wedding that I was a Second shooter for.

On Saturday August 11, 2012 Ashley & Brad decided to come together as one. At the beginning we ALL were worried that the weather wouldn't hold up for us, but in the end it turned out to be such a BEAUTIFUL wedding day. The wedding party was a super fun one, and we even got some laughs and jokes out of the day.

We are having a....

As a photographer, I always have the most creative why to announce things. For example, when I announced I was pregnant I made a facebook cover photo:

After the long 20 weeks, we have finally found out exactly what our miracle baby is. If you can't tell from the above picture, we are having a baby girl. However, I have decided that since we are revealing the gender two days ahead of schedule, I am not revealing the name of our princess until at least tomorrow. (sorry, you still gotta wait for something!)

Since it has been so hot outside all summer, I have decided that I want to do  LAST MINUTE STUDIO SESSIONS! For $25 you get a half hour studio session and a FULL original image disk, or for $35 you get a half hour studio session with a FULL EDITED/original image disk. Alicia & Bruce are Married!

A friend of mine and her father hired me to help them shoot this wedding. I was only hired for the 3 hour ceremony package, since the bride and groom were unable to hire a photographer. Which I do understand because weddings are expensive, especially when you must pay for the entire wedding yourself. (this is something my husband and I saved up for over the course of 2 years and still only had 5,000 for our wedding) Anyways, the wedding was short and simple exactly what the couple intended their wedding day to be.

Lions & Tigers (WHAT?)

I am sure that many of you know (but many of you do not know) that I am a huge Detroit Lions fan, which is why this session made my entire night! When the mother of the children in this session (whom is also a friend of mine) told me she wanted to do a sports themed session with Lions and Tigers Jerseys, I was all on top of finding new ideas on what to do! However, when we got there mom also had some brilliant ideas of what to do, therefore we just went with them ALL. As much as I enjoyed this entire session, I was able to completely edit them and release them with in 48 hours! Hope you all enjoy them as much as I have (oh and mom too!)

 After we did our sport session, we had some fun with the kid's cousin. This part of the session was to give grandma a few pictures of all 4 of the children.

Congratulations Graduate!

This past Saturday was super exciting for Kristi & her family. Although it was a super busy day, they were able to enjoy the day and celebrate her HUGE achievements! On Saturday June 23, 2012 Kristi graduated from the University of Phoenix with her Masters in Information Technology. And to celebrate I was invited to the party, and was able to capture some amazing moments!

If you have no idea who Kristi is, let me give you a little bit of a background. Kristi is a single mother of 3 beautiful child. And when I say, beautiful I truly mean it. She has the most supportive boyfriend in the world and best of all...I am her nanny! That is right, I get to watch them beautiful children of her's each and everyday!!

6 week contest!

So, I haven't exactly told you guys but my husband and I are expecting our first child. In about 6 weeks we will find out the sex of our child and was wondering what everyone's opinions were.  Who ever guesses right, gets a FREE image with their session.

So here is the deal/rules:

I am 16 weeks today (July 4th) which means, you only have 4 more weeks to enter this contest!!
